A strategic play is to guess words with most common letters in English words without necessary using the revealed clue letters.
Fyi, these letters are 'E', 'A', 'R', 'I', 'O', 'T', 'N', 'S'.
You aim is to tease out potential letters in the answer, and then rearrange to form the answer.
With a bit of luck, you could solve the puzzle by 3rd round.
Round 1: Ignore the clue C and guess STARE instead.
Identify that the answer contains T,A and E, but in the wrong position.
Round 2: Rarrange the letters and guess CLEAT. With process of elimination, conclude that A must be the second letter and E must be the fourth letter. So the answer would look like CA_ET
There are only two words that meet the criteria:
CADET
CARET
Round 3: From round 1, you also learned that R is not in the answer. So the answer must be CADET.
